Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Nov 21, 2009 11:38 pm I have the pan of my Caroma Cube Invisi II toilet (in-wall cistern) ready for installation in my bathroom. The plumbing has been done for it, and the tiling is finished. I only received the toilet on Thursday and am now waiting for the plumber to come back and finish installing everything. I've found a problem...when the plumber installed the water pipe it appears he didn't put it at the right height, perhaps not factoring in the finished floor height. This means the water pipe protruding from the wall sits approximately 15mm too low for the back of the toilet. I'd be very appreciative if you would share your thoughts and opinions with me on what options my plumber has to rectify his miscalculation. Option one would be to pull a number of tiles off the wall, (very carefully!) so he can access the cistern and move it up slightly, which I'm not sure is even possible due to all the stud fixing anyway. Option two would be to pull a number of tiles up from the floor (again very carefully!!) and cut into the screeding slightly and inset the toilet. I'm not keen on either of these so I'm wondering if there's any other alternatives that won't involve ripping up the lovely tiles that only got put down a few days ago Thank you in advance for all your ideas. Re: Toilet Plumbing Problem 2Dec 03, 2009 11:24 pm Unfortunately he will have to pull off some tiles and reduce the height of the flush pipe. Tiles will ahve to be removed to expose the bottom of the cistern as he will have to remove the flushpipe entirely and cut it to make it shorter. Sounds like the cistern height was put in at the wrong height Regards Shane In my experience roof is essential element of the building envelope and hence a common property and should be covered by owners corporation however a detailed review of… 3 5358 For anyone that comes across this issue in the future - Just did what aussieta said and found a plumber to inspect it and sign off on it.
