Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 23, 2009 12:09 pm Hi, I have hit a mental block when it comes to the colours I want in my bathroom. Its a smallish room so we thought white tiles on the wall, I am still debating with CS Ice Snow or Latte. My questions is, is there a rule to match the tile to the stone colour you use in the room? Eg. Ice Snow with beige colour tiles for the floor? My partners really likes the Coffee colour for the floor in the Bathroom and I guess it could go with the CS Latte ... or does it? In the laundry I will be putting the CS Ice Snow and have no idea what colour tiles to put in, I don't want white though...maybe something darker? but what colour to go with the stone? Any suggestions will be appreciated! I also have to consider that if the floorboards under the tiles we want to polish in the Kitchen are not good I will need to put tiles agaom and the Laundry and the Kitchen are next to each other so I guess whatever I put in the Laundry will eventually flow into the Kitchen area. Or can they be different? Re: Stuck on colour for tiles 2Oct 23, 2009 4:26 pm There really aren't any rules. The size and layout of your room might affect how certain colours or styles work, but in the end it comes down to what you like. Maybe browse around some of the builders' websites and have a look at bathroom pics. Find a look you love and then duplicate it with similar colours. Get samples of everything you're thinking of using and put them together, see how they look. This is the FUN part.
