Tilers will tell you for that reason they much prefer laying smaller tiles. We have had a couple of 'hiccups' with 300 x 300 floor tiles because we have gone with small central floor wastes as opposed to the long grate type. Getting the fall without lipping has been a real problem. As for cost, our total area of tiling is approx 25 sq m of floor & 50 sq m of wall. Just laying cost (incl cement & adhesive) is $6k.
