Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 31, 2009 3:30 pm Ok, after spending half an hour typing, I lost my post, so now I'm not happy, and in a real rush. Got a call from the builder today and we need a decision on the bath by tomorrow!!! My question is this, should I try to match the bath with the vanity???? Our vanity will be something like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I quite like this style of bath Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Or should I go for something a more rectangular like this to match the style of the vanity Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is the plan of the bathroom (sorry about the size of the picture) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So any thoughts??? Have to run out now to get some quotes from Tradelink as they haven't responded to the email I sent 2 weeks ago TIA 'chelle We have a hand-over date...15/10...but I won't hold my breath! http://people-in-glass-houses.blogspot.com/ Re: Bath Style...urgent decision needed!! 2Aug 31, 2009 3:39 pm Personally, I think the baths are gorgeous and either would be fine. The rectangular one echoes the shape of the vanity though. I do like the other one because the round edges add another element and takes the sharpness off everything. Which one do you really love the best? That's the one you should choose. I also think the rounded corner one would be more comfortable. Good Luck. But... if you were to go with the rounder shape perhaps you can tie them in back together using modern tiles and taps, soap dishes, niche, etc. Re: Bath Style...urgent decision needed!! 8Aug 31, 2009 7:26 pm yup rectangular too! Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Now comes all the hard work-decorating.... They do look comfier to me as well... Having said that, we're having an oval shaped basin... good luck Land settlement = 23/09/09 YAY!! I've found a couple of others now that I like better, so back to the shops tomorrow to get a quote for each of them. That's a beautiful bath and looks like it'll go perfectly with your vanity/basin Land settlement = 23/09/09 YAY!! If the bottom picture is the Stylus bath then it is absolutely stunning - we have it in our main bathroom and it is beautiful, comfortable and nice and deep! It also has soft rounded edges on the corner so is not too harsh - I love it! 2fk Re: Bath Style...urgent decision needed!! 13Sep 19, 2009 9:15 pm Thanks again everyone Turns out that it wasn't quite so urgent after all. I told the builder which bath we wanted, but mentioned that I was worried that it might not fit easily into that corner, so he and the plumber measured it out on site and agreed with me. In the end he said not to worry about it and we can decide once we have walls up . It looks like we will have to go for the oval bath though as the rectangular bath will most probably be too close to the shower. We're also thinking of changing the shower from a corner shower to a 1000x1200mm and having it go right up to the hob of the bath as the space between the shower and bath would just be dead space anyway....but we'll have to see what the budget allows 'chelle We have a hand-over date...15/10...but I won't hold my breath! http://people-in-glass-houses.blogspot.com/ I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 7522 The Dulux colour consultants are awesome.
