Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 30, 2009 5:39 pm Hi All, I am new to this forum but hope some of you maybe able to help. We are looking at buying a house and will need to put in a new family bathroom. The exsiting bathroom will become the ensuite (due to location). We thought that the new bathroom could go in the laundry and maybe have a joined bathroom / laundry?? Anyhow the Laundry is approx L3800 x W2300, so relatively large and should be enough room. Just wanting to know if anyone has done a combinded bathroom/laundry?? Any ideas on possible layouts?? Any advice?? Budgeting around $15000, is that enough??? I have seen a room like this before, they had folding doors between the bathroom and laundry area so that it could be screened off, especially on the occasion of vistors. Hope that all makes sense? And thanks in advance. Tina Re: New bathroom ideas 2Aug 30, 2009 6:16 pm I am in the process of buying a block of land that comes with two sets of plans and one of the houses has a bathroom/laundry and while I wasn't too sure about this at first now that I've had time to think have decided it will work OK (for me). While I know it won't suit everyone it will save on on space in the house I'm building...which is curved on the north wall with the hall curved on the opposite axis, and why the combined bathroom/laundry was chosen originally. None of the rooms are square/rectangular which is another feature I like. I'm hoping to have a divider between the two sections and may use glass bricks, but this isn't set in stone just yet...more things to think about before I get there. All good fun, isn't it? I have seen something like this and I have also seen the laundry inside a cupboard and its in the kitchen area. I have a plan to show you but I can't seem to get it loaded up. If anyone can tell me how, I can show you. Hi everyone, Have just put a shower in the laundry and after only using it 2-3 times have noticed staining on the grout.
