Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 02, 2009 4:03 pm We're having a hard time trying to find out what to do, where to go for baths that are less than 1500mm long. Wall to wall where we want to fit our bath is exactly 1500mm. So our entire bathroom is 1500mm x 2000mm, see the image below to get an idea. Theres currently a shower over where we'd like the bath to go, which we want to keep. So not looking for an expensive custom build or anything : ) Thoughts much appreciated. Re: Small space baths a question?? 2Aug 03, 2009 1:00 pm Hi hamsam, We just spent the weekend looking at bathroom showrooms and found the Mizu Soaker Bath which comes in a few different sizes, the smallest being 1400mm. The great thing about this bath is that it's 30% deeper than most baths. I think it's around $500. Re: Small space baths a question?? 3Aug 03, 2009 1:47 pm There are plenty of 1510mm baths around. Remember the bath will be notched our rebated in the wall so you have a little more to play with. I have this bath, it's very nice, deep and squared off inside so standing in it wouldn't be a problem. I had to get the 1400. Are these available in all bathroom showrooms or do we need to go to a particular supplier? Re: Small space baths a question?? 8Aug 28, 2009 9:15 pm Great thanks. Is it comfortable? I always worry about the more square shape being less comfortable? I love my bath, and love to laze in it for ages!! Re: Small space baths a question?? 9Aug 28, 2009 9:32 pm tygwyn Great thanks. Great to hear it's comfy SuH Re: Small space baths a question?? 11Sep 02, 2009 6:45 pm tygwyn We've just had a plumber around to give us suggestions for our bathroom (which is not much larger than yours) and he came up with a good idea of having a recessed sliding door - basically the make a recess in the existing door and the door slides into it when opened... gives you a lot more floor space without having the door open into the room. you can pick these up from bunnings etc, they're called cavity sliding doors (I'd go for the slightly more expensive ones because the have double tracks for the door so less likely for it to come off) I got the statesman and I think it was about $210. very easy to install however it does mean that you have to remove a section of wall to put the frame inplace. as for the bath have you thought about a corner bath?
