It seems to me that the existing frameless mirror is glued to the wall (probably of fibro-cement sheeting). It has been suggested that I use a length of wire to pass behind the mirror and cut through the adhesion. Any comments/hints would be appreciated e.g. what type of wire, safety aspects, how do I easily remove residual glue ![]() ![]() Re: Wall mirror in ensuite 2May 28, 2007 2:42 pm Michael, I've only tried to do this once with a newly installed mirror - without success.
There are various 'wires' to try including a coated cutting wire but I would be inclined to first speak to a glass/mirror mob to get some first hand tips. It turned out that the mirror was not glued in its entireity - it was held onto the wall by adhesive strips. The cuttting wire was successfull. Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location.
