My hubby does too - we are already having a double in our ensuite, figured the kids didn't need one - they would probably hurt eachother if they had to shower together progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: really desperate for bathroom layout help!!! 6Jul 03, 2009 5:23 pm Oh woops. I'm leaning towards C now... One question though, before I vote - Will that shower have a glass door or a shower curtain? I'm leaning towards C now... One question though, before I vote - Will that shower have a glass door or a shower curtain? definetely a glass door. The architect is totally against corner showers for whatever reason progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: really desperate for bathroom layout help!!! 10Jul 03, 2009 5:42 pm Yeah I'm not a fan of corner showers either. If you put a glass door on it and extend it just a little (no such thing as a shower being 'too big'!) And for kids, I'd just have just a normal everyday size bath, not a spa, purely for water usage because kids tend to like baths. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. If you put a glass door on it and extend it just a little (no such thing as a shower being 'too big'!) I'll vote for C yes to glass but as the shower in C is already 1m x 1m, not sure if I can go bigger: there is the window on one side (already approved by council) and the vanity on other (can't move that one as it is near the chute) progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: really desperate for bathroom layout help!!! 15Jul 03, 2009 7:23 pm If you have an ensuite and a powder room elsewhere then I'd put the toilet into the main bathroom. I'm in the minority with my opinion on this but I think a toilet in the bathroom is handy, how often do you go into the bathroom, get undressed, turn on the shower and then realise you need to use the toilet! I just prefer to have all amenities in the one room, and it's also handy for sitting on whilst watching the kids in the bath. Re: really desperate for bathroom layout help!!! 16Jul 03, 2009 9:36 pm For some reason I couldn't vote. I like A and D, more A because of the bigger loo. Not a fan of the corner shower either. Great if you really need the space, but I'm sure you have enough space. Tough choice. Goodluck buzz Re: really desperate for bathroom layout help!!! 17Jul 03, 2009 9:55 pm I voted A and B, I like and dislike some things in both designs. Bathroom A has a big toilet, that's good but I don't like the glass bricks between the toilet and shower??? Bathroom B is ok but a standard bath would be better and again glass between toilet and shower??? Is there a need for that, could you put a skylight in the toilet instead? Otherwise I personally don't like corner showers and there's no need for a big spa bath for kids and a bigger toilet would be better. The vanity in the smaller toilets will end up being really small and might not look very nice. Reminds me of a tiny public toilet.
