Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone had suggestions for a bathroom surface other than tiles. I absolutely despise cleaning grout, so any grout-less suggestions would be much appreciated!
Cheers

The 'grout' is PVC so no mould, no discolourations, no scrubbing......ahhh bliss! Re: bathroom surfaces other than tiles 7Jul 07, 2009 8:05 pm I have resolved to have a tile free home. I loathe them from a functional perspective, even though there are many gorgeous tile products around. I'm interested in this product: http://www.akril.com.au/akril.html I assume it's petrochemical based, so not as environmentally friendly as I would like (the thresholds for "green" certification leave a bit to be desired in my book), but nevertheless in the context of our entire house, I'd be satisfied. Downside: a very limited range of colours. Upside, they will send you a lovely pack of samples that you can use as coasters. Afraid they would be out - not recomended for wet areas at all, even when mopping them you cant get them more than lightly damp Re: bathroom surfaces other than tiles 9Jul 07, 2009 10:40 pm Elizabeth I don't think that's made as a floor surface. More for walls but still a good product. After growing up with tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms, watching the grout get dirty despite every effort to clean it, I too am sick of tiles. Re: bathroom surfaces other than tiles 10Jul 08, 2009 12:47 pm Yes, Akril is definitely not a floor product. I read "surfaces" to mean the bits other than the floors! I am resigned to having tiles on the floor our upstairs bathroom. Downstairs will be concrete - hooray.
