Best would be to do a renovation.. For the walls, you would replace them with Villaboard an either waterproof it yourself, or call a waterproofer. Waterproofing, there is many products, a lot of people argue against what is best, what is not etc.. etc.. cost also. I personally have used them all.. have seen most of them fail to an extent.. but would recommend Dampfix 2.. Here is a link with how it's to be used etc.. http://www.tilersonline.com.au/files/file/ASA%20Tile%20Adhesives/D/DAMPFIX2%20SHOWER%20REP.pdf Once you have done the 2 coats, you are then able to tile the floor & walls or get someone to do them.. (tilers usually have a license to do waterproofing also) Where is the old mold?? if on the ceiling, you can use bleach to treat it, then you can re-paint.. If you have some photos, be sure to post them up, will help people to explain steps, an what can be done etc.. Cheers Mano Re: Old barthroom our first DIY 4Jul 03, 2009 2:18 pm How old? Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4784 Re my second point – yes exactly. And often it may take additional time if the manufacturer recommends no more than X meters… 3 5652 |
