Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 04, 2009 9:08 am Most of my ensuite is planned ... but I don't know what to do about a mirror. My layout is a bit odd in that I've got the window over the basin part (decided I'd rather look outside, than at my face whilst brushing my teeth etc!). I'm going to have a full body length mirror on another wall (the wall next to the toilet - facing the shower) ... but I need one above the bench space. Originally I'd planned on a shaving cabinet/mirror ... but the space is smaller than I thought and I'm not sure how it would balance with the shapes/height. ensuite face.jpg ensuite plan.jpg I was thinking one of the pull out shaving mirror kind of things ... for doing eye makeup etc .. but that's probably a bit small. Suggestions gratefully received - they're building it at the moment and I'm running out of time (and of course budget - silly architect who thinks these things cost nothing!)!! The smaller ones could be a cabinet, the larger ones would be plain wall mirrors (with bevelled edge or the like). The mirror is reflecting the other wall - so nothing pretty or nice or light. Does anyone know if those wall decals work in moist bathroom environments? Any votes on which one? Or a completely different idea?! Im not a fan of oval mirrors myself, they seem a little bit 'old school'. And theres something kind of creepy about having a mirror hanging over the toilet! Not that there is much likelihood of me ever finding a man who doesn't puke at the sight of me ... but I don't want to weird them out too much if I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SuH I would start it in line with the window architrave and maybe put a wall light at the top Do you mean in line with the bottom of the window? the top of the window nearly touches the ceiling (ensuite is being put under a veranda, so has VERY low ceiling height)... like: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: What mirror / cabinet for ensuite? 11Jun 09, 2009 4:51 pm Just an idea, perhaps you could get a custom cut piece of glass the same height as the window. You could incorporate the window trim around the mirror and window to make it look like a double pained window. Not sure if it would work or not, but if they are side by side it may look ok. I put two of the 11kg ones in for a 12kg mirror on the wall, and its been great for 4 years now. 4 2082 Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight.
