Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 21Jun 04, 2009 4:07 pm We're having dark floors in our upstairs bathrooms. Luxe Anthracite for floor, Limestone Bone satin for the walls (tiled to ceiling). The feature tile is a stone one with both colours in it. Judie Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 22Jun 04, 2009 4:41 pm lj3376 I want to have dark tiles in our ensuite too! Going to have my first look at some tiles on saturday which I'm sure will send me into a headspin. Pebble, what are your floor tiles called, LOVE the look of them! Kexkez, love your floor tiles too! We chose ours from Tiles Plus in Bunbury, the floor tile is called Leman Anthracite 200x200 and the wall tile is Leman Marrow 200x200 we liked them both for the colour and rugged edging. Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 23Jun 04, 2009 6:33 pm Thanks for all the responses and the photos! I haven't been to any tile shops yet.. but now I know a bit more about what i want!! So are border tiles the way to go with a dark floor? I'm just not sure what would be the best to put as a feature in the shower opening as you walk in. It might look a bit blank if it was just plain tiles? I do like the vertical rectangular tiles suggested at the start.. sorry can't figure out how to copy that pic here. Any other bathroom feature suggestions? Love Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 24Jun 04, 2009 10:22 pm some people have put a little foot rest in the shower recess. It is either a tube ( chrome roll bar) thing or I've seen some that look like flat soap ledges but put down very low. Great for cleaning dirty toe nails or shaving legs etc. Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 28Jun 07, 2009 10:38 pm Wow, SuH! Simply stunning! Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 29Jun 08, 2009 1:54 pm Looks fantastic SuH Do you have dark tiles in shower as well? I want to have dark tiles on the spa as you have done but have light tiles in the shower, hubby want to do it the opposite way, I feel the whiter tile on the spa will look too white even with a feature tile breaking it up. Lisa- Finally in our house!!! Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 30Jun 08, 2009 4:33 pm lj3376 Looks fantastic SuH Do you have dark tiles in shower as well? The feature wall that you can see goes around the corner and continues on one wall, the rest is white. The floor is all brown. Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 31Jun 15, 2009 6:09 pm Well you know what inlaws are like, father in law reckons he liikes the wall tiles but wouldn't have the dark floor tiles (mind you he's the type who would scrup pavers to keep them spotlessly clean) . . . . ahhh old people! Hope I don't become like that, I mean pavers are to be walked on with muddy boots aren't they? Who keeps them spotlessly clean and chooses colours just because they won't show dirt? I chose pavers to match the colour scheme of the house! Main bath again clean (sorry ensuite was out of foucus!) http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1006.jpg Re: Dark tiles in ensuite? 32Jun 15, 2009 8:07 pm Wow, looks awesome SuH!
