Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 23, 2009 6:01 pm Hi All, Just went today to have a look at tiles at the selection centre (Beaumont's). The size we are allowed as standard in the wet areas is 200mm X 200mm I am concerned that in large rooms (3.7m X 2m & 3.5 x 3m) that such small tiles will look silly - The wall tiles can be 300mm X 300mm. To upgrade the floor tiles will cost $1000 a room and mean a side grate being fitted the the shower rather than a middle grate. Any comments on how the small tiles would look or should I just automatically upgrade? Re: Tile Size in Bathroom 2May 23, 2009 9:42 pm If you choose brilliantly, 200x200 tiles will look just great. If you have the same selection skills as us, then unfortunately the upgrade is probably a good idea. I guess the true test of a superb interior designer is to select the cheapest and co-ordinate in such a way that they look a million dollars. (you probably have spent days going through houses like we have, but each time we seem to be going through looking at different things ). I know most have the larger tile, and it just seems to add a bit more pizzaz than the smaller tile, but then that is on the wall more, and you said you can have the larger one on the wall. Haven't seen the larger square one? ... normally they are rectangle. 300 x 200? You can probably get away with it on the floor. Built the Driftwood with C*ollier Homes Moved in 8 November 2009 Slowly getting organised ..... Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. A quick search on… 3 8401 Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size. My custom builder standard is 350mm with rendering, but i asked for 470mm plus stone or tiles and yet to get… 0 7492 All sorted guys. Just needed to buy a blade with the correct bush.
