Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 09, 2009 5:08 pm Hi everyone. We are renovating our bathroom and powder room (bit larger than a normal toilet and has a basin/vanity). Just had the floor tiles done in the powder room (Dark grey (almost black) polished ceramic 300 x 300 with the smallest amount of grout possible). I am having the 300 x 600 gloss white tiles on the walls of bathroom and wanted one row of them around the bottom of the wall in the powder room but the tiler thinks they will be too dominating and wants to cut them to about 150 x 600. What does everyone think? The bathroom and powder room have a walk-in robe between them so aren't right next to each other. After the millions of display homes I looked at I can't remember what the standard is. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Re: Size of Tiles 3May 09, 2009 6:28 pm Usually in a toilet or powder room if there will only be one row, they use the floor tile rather than a contrasting wall tile. It looks more seamless. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. If you go as big as you initally wanted, it will detract from the whole thing. We did a similar thing with black and a high gloss egg shell coloured tile, and the smaller tile was a lot more effective. Only an opinion but seen a few in my time. Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size. My custom builder standard is 350mm with rendering, but i asked for 470mm plus stone or tiles and yet to get… 0 7493 All sorted guys. Just needed to buy a blade with the correct bush. Dunno how to delete this post, can't find any help file. Cheers. 1 3657 Current door width is approx 2700, looking to have double doors fitted 820-820. What size does the frame need to be before door jamb? Thanks 0 3544 |
