Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 19, 2009 7:04 pm Apologies if this is a really stupid question... But, when talking about walk-in showers everyone refers to having tiling from floor to ceiling on the walls. Because our ceiling is sloping (as it is throughout the whole house), I thought going the whole way to the ceiling would look a bit silly. So I plan to tile to 2m the whole way round (with the exception of the toilet area, which is well away from the shower). One side of the shower will be a glass screen between the shower & vanity unit. The other side of the shower will be open to the bath. The front of the shower will also be open - with the opposite wall being 1.8m away. Will it be ok to only tile to 2m? Re: Tiling heights.... 2Apr 19, 2009 9:39 pm In all our minor ensuites (x3) we only had the tiler quote on his standard which is 1.8 in the shower and a skirting tile around the other walls. In the main ensuite we are having the tiling go 2m high around every wall (except our toilet because it is in it's own little room). Our ceiling heights are 2.7m - so can't imagine yours would look any "stranger" for the want of a better word. Some things are worth waiting for. Building Standards; Getting It Right!
