Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 17, 2009 10:09 pm Our tiles in our bathroom are in very good condition along with the bath and basin. Has anyone had the professional resurfacing done in their bathroom to change the colour. Ours is currently bright yellow! We are wanting everything sprayed white. Was thinking to buy the DIY paint kits for tiles, but dont really trust myself and what a professional look. what are peoples thoughts? Re: Bathroom Resurfacing any thought? 2Apr 18, 2009 4:27 pm Ive seen some really good jibs and some really bad ones. I know of a guy in Sydney who does bathresurfacing and his work is excellent. He even does WCs and cisterns. If youre in sydney ill post his number Re: Bathroom Resurfacing any thought? 3Apr 18, 2009 4:33 pm We had ours done before we sold our own place, but it got chipped pretty quickly. You have to look after it with special detergent and not bang toys in it to keep it looking nice. I wouldn't get it done again except as a quick pre-sale makeover. It did look lovely and shiny and new straight after it was done! "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. It looked fantastic for about 7 years then the bleach started wearing away the paint (my fault for using bleach) on vanity and the basin paint started to lift. Its now been 12 years and we are about to renovate. We originally would have been happy for it to last 3 years! If you can't afford to renovate go for it - it made our bathroom liveable for a long time. I also believe it works just as good on tiles. Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4776 A question.
