Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 24, 2009 5:14 pm In the process of colour selections and a little unsure about a few things! Here are the proposed colours at the moment: Wall Tiles - satin white 100 x 400 Feature Tiles - 50mm wide stone (see pic below) Floor Tiles - carrara white satin 400 x 400 Spa Tiles - black satin 100 x 400 (look more like dark chocolate brown) Vanity Top - burnished wood laminex Vanity Doors & Structure - tawny linestone laminex ??? I am a little unsure about the tawny limestone. I think I like it but not entirely sure about if the lined timber look will go well with the stone.. and also if it will age or not? The other thing I am not sure about is the white floor tiles. The bathroom is going to be fairly white (walls, shower and vanity wall tiles, etc). I kind of like the idea of black/ very dark chocolate floor tiles. I think that they may stay cleaner as well? What do you all think?? I like your choices, got to have something a little different....so says me! Re: Bathroom colours - HELP PLEASE! 3Mar 24, 2009 8:43 pm Yaaay Suh - someone else using Fudge Stream! Sarah, it looks pretty good. I think the cupboard laminex looks good. I guess I do like how it is bold, somethinng different. Would you go with vertical or horizontal grain for the cupboard doors? I think if you changed that for a dark chocolate brown it would all go together better. And I'd have the laminex with stripes running vertically. Judie Re: Bathroom colours - HELP PLEASE! 7Mar 24, 2009 11:04 pm I think it's great your keeping the bathroom fairly neutral with white and accenting with the feature tiles and vanity; I think it would balance it out with a different colour for the floor too - like you mentioned brown tones would look great. Re: Bathroom colours - HELP PLEASE! 8Mar 25, 2009 8:38 am doghouse Yaaay Suh - someone else using Fudge Stream! Sarah, it looks pretty good. I think the cupboard laminex looks good. Make it two others using Fudge Stream!! We are probably going with it on cupboard and benchtop in both bathrooms and laundry!! Horizontal is the way to go IMO. I too fear the spa tile might be a little dark, but it either could be the light or it could work really well, I am second guessing all my decisions so don't listen to me ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Judie Is that black tile actually that black, I was thinking it was showing up darker than it was because the benchtop looks darker in that picture ? Re: Bathroom colours - HELP PLEASE! 11Mar 25, 2009 9:32 pm the tile is quite dark, but looking very closely it is a dark dark chocolate colour IMO. Maybe should look for a slightly lighter chocolate tile? I think horizontal would look better too Now we are thinking of going for something more simple like oyster linea for the cupboards. Would you prefer the tawny linewood or oyster linea? Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry? If so maybe… 1 11229 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7148 |
