Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 03, 2009 1:42 pm Hi to all...I'm very sick of my ensuite(especially the colour) but am not ready to re-tile. I have been told of bathroom resurfacing and its seems to be in my budget. I am thinking of a new shower screen and perhaps some other upgrades to really give it a contemporary look. All white is what has been suggested to me but I'm just not sure? Please offer any suggestions in any context Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: updating my ensuite 2Mar 04, 2009 12:26 pm We have just redone our bathroom and it is completely white. it does make to room look bigger and much brighter but it gets dirty real quick so if you don't plan on cleaning it everyday i would suggest a different colour. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it. W.C. Fields Brought Established. Re: updating my ensuite 4Mar 04, 2009 6:26 pm I think you have a good base to go on as you have white sinks shower frames etc. This goes with everything.
A taupe sort of colour would be nice and your vanity would blend in with it. That would give it a modern feel too. Are you talking about spraying the floor tiles and wall tiles and leaving everything else? From the photos everything looks ok regarding the shower etc only you know what it looks like in real life Some resurfacing can work out expensive, maybe you could just replace the benchtops and new handles and then you would only have to disturb a few tiles and you could paint the new white above vanity and the coloured ones in the shower the same colour. maybe a chequered board pattern in 2 tiles very similar colours but a shade different. and pick one of those colours to paint the floor Know where your going in life............... you may already be there Re: updating my ensuite 5Mar 12, 2009 12:05 pm thanks for that info guys. I've been thinking doing a little research and am dwelling on the following. I get the floor done in a charcoal dark colour and the rest in the white. This way its not too clinical yet I can still acheive a clean and streamline look? am I on the right track? Also I would add those eco blinds to the windows in a white....any further suggestions would be great. Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6128 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11829 |
