Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 22, 2009 12:16 am I really want to use a feature tile in my ensuite bathroom. While I quite like some of the glass mosaics we saw at the tile shops, I saw some great pictures online recently, like this; http://www.uneekglassfusions.com/uneekglassfusionsgallery.html which use dichroic glass tiles scattered amongst ceramic/porcelain tiles. I know someone who works with dichroic glass, and she will make me some gorgeous tiles for quite reasonable cost.
So, what I'm thinking, is still a feature strip through the shower area in our ensuite, done in a complementary colour to the glass, but in a smaller ceramic tile, and just scattering some dichrioc glass tiles through this strip. Do you think this would look good? Would tilers be OK with doing it? The feature will still be the blue glazed tiles with the dichoic tiles scattered throughout.
I hope the ripple tiles will reflect the light around and match up with the patterning in the glass tiles. What do you think? too much? A nice match?
