Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 20, 2009 11:27 am Hi Guys,
I have no idea how to post pictures (but would love to know how) anyway, I'm attempting to use links. I am trying to decide on bathroom tapware, and would love your opinions between these 3 styles. First is the Kludi Maris http://www.tradelink.com.au/index.html? ... 1&sc=maris http://www.tradelink.com.au/index.html? ... 1&sc=maris Then the Raymor pin lever style (other brands to similar) http://www.tradelink.com.au/index.html? ... sc=academy http://www.tradelink.com.au/index.html? ... =1&sc=eton http://www.tradelink.com.au/index.html? ... =1&sc=eton And the last is the Melvern Rere http://www.methven.biz/au/tapware/lifestyle/42 http://www.methven.biz/au/tapware/lifestyle/42/496 Pricewise the rere is the most expensive at approx $2800 and this is taps in showers, next would be the kludi at around $2600 who only do mixers and then the pin lever style at around $1900 this is based on taps, but mixers also avail. The taps don't bother me as were having the infinity with controllers so temp is preset. Look forward to your opinions [/url] Re: Your opinions wanted on tapware styles 2Feb 20, 2009 11:49 am Simply save the picture to your documents on your computer then add them in your message as a filename (under where you type your comments) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Some things are worth waiting for. Its very imprtant with shower mixers. Basin mixers can always be simply changed but an inbuilt shower mixer cant be if you cant get hold of a new cartridge.
Spare parts for exotic tapware might be difficult to get hold of in a few years time. The prices you quoted, they are in Rupees, right? Re: Your opinions wanted on tapware styles 10Feb 23, 2009 8:00 pm No the prices quoted are total for all three bathrooms! And I still havent decided. I didnt really want to use mixers in the showers due to the temp control on the infinity, but not too many contemporary style ranges have taps and basin mixers, hence if I want them to match I have to do shower mixers too. That's one advantage the raymor pin style has over the other 2. vote 12Feb 25, 2009 7:00 pm I vote Kludi Maris.
Sorry but can someone please explain to the silly woman here what the cartridge is in the flick mixer taps? What is it for and is it in all mixer taps??? It is the same as what I am having in my ensuite. Re: Your opinions wanted on tapware styles 14Feb 25, 2009 8:55 pm Well I wanted the thank everyone for their votes and let you know what we decided on - and it is something totally different! I saw these and really liked them, but I also scored a bargain in the process (due to a mistake)which to me makes them even more attractive! Got everything for the 3 bathrooms for $1200, so very very pleased! Next decision is showers - but I'll start another thread!
Kyton for teaching me how to do photos - there'll be no stopping me now! Themax a cartidge is the ceramic disc inside the tap instead of a washer.
