Last weekend, we installed the new shower base; layed it on a bed of cement. Since then I've finished laying the new floor. In the process, I put a couple of extra concrete stumps in. It might have been a bit of overkill, but it stops problems later on with cracked tiles etc due to the joists bowing. They shouldn't, but while I had the floor up, it wasn't much trouble to put the stumps in where most people will be walking.
The cement sheet was laid on the floor after the membrane was painted on. All the walls have now been panelled, and the vanity is in place.
I've started fixing wall tiles now, and thanks to some suggestions from Michelle, I chose fairly large ones. They are easier to fix, there is less cutting, and obviously less grouting later on.
I'll be calling in the splashback/shower screen people on Monday, to measure everything up, and it's then just a case of waiting until it's made and installed..
The latest pics are up.
