Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 20, 2007 9:22 pm The company doing renovation for us has just put wrong tiles onto our bathroom (It's different from specified in the contract). I don't want them to re-work because it will take another 2-3 months. I'm seeking for a compensation. Does anyone know what's a reasonable amount of compensation? eg. 30% discount, 50% discount, etc. Any past cases?

If you insist in having the correct tiles, it would cost the builder more than this as he has to remove the old tiles and repair damage. I would say that a 30-50% discount would be reasonable. Would you prefer to live with the existing tiles with no compensation or prefer to have the mess of the job being re-done in 3 months?
