Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I will be installing a fixed screen and a door. The fixed screen does not have a bottom channel as it is semi frameless (the channel is only on the side affixed to the wall). How does this work then? Don't I risk causing the tempered glass to crack if I simply rest it on the water stop? My water stop protrudes some 8mm. Do I need to cover it with some sort of channel first? The NCC (10.2.32) requires the shower screen to incorporate or be mounted on an inverted channel, positioned over the top of the waterstop. AS3740 requires the same, but also allows an option to place the screen inside the waterstop (AS3740:2021 4.15.3). I've yet to see it practically implemented. I'd love to see some images if anyone has done it. And also how to approach covering the waterstop at the shower door threshold.
