We have these Portuguese tiles through our bathroom, toilet and laundry and also a small hall that connects these rooms. We are renovating our 1990 home and have removed the built in bath and need to remove existing shower base and floor standing vanity. We will be replacing with a free standing bath, a floating vanity and walk in shower. We do not have enough spare tiles and wondering if we could add a plain tile as a feature. This would mean a plain floor tile around 2 full walls under these new items and leaving the existing tiles throughout. Could this look like a feature or a mismatched botch up? This is a very tight fit, I'm not sure if you'll be able to achieve what you've described. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry?
