Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 26, 2024 2:01 pm This is my first post here so please do not be too harsh on me. I have an old rental unit. It has a bathroom with a concrete ceiling 248 cm high. There is a fan on the window that is quite a good one, not the usual fan. In the shower/ bath recess there is pure concrete that I have previously painted. And rather quickly there are stains. So I need some sort of coating on the ceiling. I will paint this over with a paint – not a problem. The question I have is what sort of coating should I give. I have had a look and there are a few options from the Crommelin range. There are other brands I know but for comparison I am only looking at them. If you can suggest other brands please do. Firstly there is Aquablock Primer https://www.crommelin.com.au/product/aquablock-primer/ which is a painting prep coat. Then there is waterproofing membrane primer https://www.crommelin.com.au/product/wa ... ce-primer/ which I think is used and then another waterproofer is used. And lastly I have shower waterproofing membrane https://www.crommelin.com.au/product/sh ... -membrane/ which I think is used for undertile applications. What do you think I should use for the ceiling under the shower to waterproof it? Then I would paint over it. Or would you recommend something else?
