Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Dec 05, 2023 8:47 am Hi All, First time poster. I was hoping to get some advice on villaboard installation within a bathroom. I have installed villaboard before, in a laundry. I think I did an OK job but I want to make sure I do it better for the bathroom. I've read the James Hardie installers guide https://assets.ctfassets.net/rg5y8r6t6c ... _Apr23.pdf and everything is clear apart from the "control joint". I get what it's for in principle, but I don't know whether it's relevant for a bathroom of my size. The longest wall run will be 3.2 metres which is underneith the 4.2 m's which they state for a wooden stub wall to be tiled. Do I need to install a control joint and if so where would that be? There aren't many resources on the net that discuss this. Just to add, I'm having professionals install everything else, from the plumbing, electrical, wall leveling etc. I'm just installing the villaboard. Thanks in advance! -Richard 4 8239 ok - turns out you need this to be completed by qualified and accredited person. So I had to engage a company and spend $200 to do it with a 24 hour turn around 1 4007 Post a copy of the quote so we can see what they are including for the $2k 4 12239 |
