Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Nov 04, 2023 4:43 pm Hi, I'm clearing the tiles from our horrid 50 year old bathroom and preparing to lay new ones. Bugger of a job getting the old ones off, but that's just time and effort. My question is does it matter if much of the old adhesive is left behind before gluing the new tiles down. Everywhere I look it says it needs to be removed but I can't think why, unless the new adhesive doesn't take well to the old. What do you think? My plan is to box up inside… 0 6756 just pull up the slate. If you go over the top, your tiles would not have an even surface to be glued to. Im no tiler, but i can imagine a couple of things being an issue… 1 689 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 8127 |
