Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 17, 2023 9:55 am Just wondering if I start tiling at the back of my bathroom wall with full tiles and work my way out and have cut tiles at the entrance? Would I be right in doing it that way but dry fitting the tiles first to make sure I don't have a slither cut at the entrance and if I do I adjust the tiles which means I could have a cut tile at the back and also the front ? Thank you Re: Bathroom floor tile layout 2Aug 17, 2023 10:16 am The best way is to set out from the room centre, then look at the size of your cut tile at the edges, if more than half tile you are ok, if less move your starting tile half a tile across, then you will have even margins. But do I have cuts at the entrance or to the rear? I figure a full tile at the entrance leading through to cut tiles at the back looks better but how then do I start at the entrance and work towards the back and then get out when done? Re: Bathroom floor tile layout 4Aug 18, 2023 9:30 am Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. A quick search on youtube will give you lots of videos on how to do it.
