Re: Rinnai Infinity and Water Saving Showerheads? 9Nov 20, 2008 8:26 am MissMuffitt I am having the same problem... Our old gas water heater died, so I thought I would be smart and get an instant one as the star rating was very good. I had to get the gas fitter to 'Turn up my pressure" on the gas at first because of the hot and cold problem. All was good again after that, until I had a little water restricter install ready for when we turn this house into an IP. Now it is very bad again, I get in the shower and it's on for maybe a minute, then goes cold, I have to turn the hot tap right off and back on again to get any hot water, then it's boiling and I have to wait for it to calm down again before I get under again... this cycle can happen 3 or 4 times in the space of a few minutes, and it doesn't seem to mater how much cold water I turn on when this hot cycle is happening, it won't cool down until it's ready. I have the plumbers certificate to say he installed this thing, I might just take the little restricter out and pretend it's there! I know our tenants will be complaining bitterly if we leave it like that Seems like the restricter is restricting the water flow rate way too much causing the water in the unit to stay in there longer. I believe the units have a shut off when water reaches a certain temp causing your cold surges. I hope that makes sense 0 15694 brokers will also be in a position to get you a better rate than the advertised rate most times. 6 7584 This certainly doesn't look good. I would be engaging with an independent inspector to have a look at this. As for the unscheduled site visits, most builders are quite… 1 28326 |
