Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 12, 2022 6:21 pm Hi all, We currently have a separate laundry and bathroom which are external to the main house hit wwe I tend to extend the walls to bring them inside the house. As part of this we’re going to consolidate both and have a laundry room with showier and toilet. The attached plan shows what we’re thinking, we probably don’t need a separate song in the centre of the bathroom and could sue the laundry tub so intend to remove the sink. Our intention is to have a front load washer and dryer and a cavity sliding door to access the laundry. We’d like a space to iron clothes in the laundry also as were constrained by space elsewhere in the house. It would also be nice to have somewhere to keep dirty linen l, with young kids we get through plenty of clothes! Would love to hear any thoughts on layout. Thanks in advance and thanks also to oklouise for her original thoughts on the overall house plans! Doing your ironing in the shared space seems insane though. Someone wants to use the toilet and you've got clothes half ironed now they smell. Plus Ironing is boring, everyone I know just moves the ironing board in front of a tv and puts it away when they're done, being stuck in a laundry/toilet/shower while ironing would drive me nuts. Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. I’ve given it a coat of white paint and added… 0 14112 This is a very tight fit, I'm not sure if you'll be able to achieve what you've described. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry? If so maybe… 1 11252 |
