Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Nov 27, 2021 10:26 am Hi Shower mix tap in one of the bathrooms is too sensitive. Even a millimeter of rotation makes it too hot or too cold. Photo attached. Any ideas on how to fix it. I spoke to a plumber and he said the whole water pipeline needs to be replaced and will cost 4K. The other bathroom upstairs doesn’t have this issue (even that is somewhat sensitive but not to this extent). I was thinking just replacing the mixer tap would fix this. What do you guys think? They mix the hot and cold lines to give you an exact temperature. That said I don't know how easy it is to retrofit one into an existing wall. https://www.reece.com.au/search/tapware ... ixers-c762 Re: Shower mix tap too sensitive 3Nov 27, 2021 5:44 pm Spazzen You can get a thermostatic mixer. We got it resolved by having a flow restrictor and temperature restrictor at the gas heater. A plumber installed it. Costed about 2k. Very happy with the result. there is only 20% difference in concrete strength between 20 mpa and 25 mpa, so check with your engineer first if it fits his calculation tolerances. There are ways to… 6 18280 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7377 7 5136 |
