Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 16, 2021 8:42 pm Hi again all, Looking into the Kaboodle Laundry Cabinets for my wife's laundry reno and cannot quite work out what is a laundry cabinet or what is a kitchen cabinet. I was looking to start designing using their 3D planner but I cannot find a broom cabinet nor a cabinet that will house the laundry sink. Could anyone please tell me a standard size for a cabinet that will house the sink that will connect through the bench top, and also standard size for a broom cabinet that my wife only wants to store actual brooms in please, or better still where I can find the sizes of them in either the Kaboodle 3D planner, or Green Shed website please? Thanks Geoff Re: Laundry Cabinets 2Jun 16, 2021 11:35 pm I just had a quick look at kaboodle website. They are based around a standard 600mm benchtop. You will just use a standard 2 door base unit (560 deep) and then a tall pantry unit (580 deep) for the brooms. The 450 wide has all removable shelves whereas the 600 has a fixed shelf so the 450 would be better. The only issue with those units is some front loaders will stick out the front a bit. I normally run a bit deeper (650-700) benchtop. A standard 600 will be fine if you don't want to go down the custom built option. Was just thinking also which I probably should have added to the original question, if I install a new sink above a flat bench so I remove the current laundry sink and cabinet that has the hole on the side for the washing machine hose, how would I now have the hose in a part of the drain to get rid of the water from the machine? Thanks Re: Laundry Cabinets 4Jun 17, 2021 7:59 pm garfield Thanks for that Chippy. Thanks You attach the washing machine drain to the new trap you install on the sink. The spigots are blanked off so you need to drill them out. The drain hose then pushes onto the spigot. Front loaders have a rubber end on the drain hose so that fit. Cabinetmakers use MDF because its cheap… 2 9958 Thanks mate. Yeah good points! Leaning towards Option 3 to get a bit extra space in the cabinets but not going too crazy high (and expensive). Would require a mini… 13 39690 Agreed. I just found out today the certifier has not given the final sign off. 2 4090 |
