Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 06, 2021 9:34 am I want to do this job myself. I have a small bathroom, it's an ensuite and want to re-do the grout in the shower. Only the shower is tiled (It's a double shower size) and also there are tiles around the skirting (if that makes sense) I was going to remove the old grout and put in new grout but then I did see a product online called grout colourant that you can use a toothbrush to apply and it basically re-colours the grout. I currently have white but want it to be grey. Has anyone done this before? Removing the old grout looks to be a tiresome process so maybe the colourant would be an easier option? Just wondering what others have done. Thank you. Re: Replace or Re-colour Grout 2Jun 06, 2021 9:54 am A lot of those grout "paints" require you to use specific cleaners once applied. If you use the sort of soap scum cleaners available at Supermarkets etc the "paint" will most likely peel off. Just something to be aware of.
