Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Sep 28, 2020 1:51 pm Bought a new apartment a year ago and noticed several building quality issues after moving in, including terrible sewage smell from one of the bathroom. Further investigation found that the water trap is missing from the floor trap.
Had tried to contact the builder but no any response for more than a year. Advice needed regarding the warranty issue of this type, and who will be the best person to contact if builder is not taking responsibility. Thanks. Re: Builder forgot to install floor water trap in bathroom 2Sep 29, 2020 3:26 pm Any advice will be appreciated. Following is the illustration of floor trap installed in the other bathroom of my apartment. After compared apple to apple, the PVC insert is missing in one of the bathroom. It all depends where the actual trap is. More often than not it's after the gully. Did you get a plumber to inspect? Thanks for the advise. Had finally have the plumber to inspect and confirmed the water trap was forgot to put in. Now the difficulty is, to put the original water trap in, the tile on top will need to be removed first. What the plumber did was, cut the sides of water trap to get it smaller and slides into the waste gully. Of course the quality is certainly not as same as original one any more. Still waiting for a final solution from the builder. ... for months already.
