Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 31, 2020 1:41 pm Hi all, We've got a walk in shower and we've decided that we'd like to stick a light or two in there. The roof is 1m above the shower head so splashes are unlikely, but the light would be inside the shower. Which IP rating should we be looking at ? Also thinking we might go some smart light so we can avoid messing around with trying to install switches or rewire an existing switch to control another light. Stupid idea or brilliant move ? Edit: This site has the best explanation of ratings that I've seen: https://crystalpalacelighting.com.au/bl ... o-you-need - according to this, in the shower but above the showerhead is IPx4 which seems reasonable. Re: Lights in shower 3Sep 09, 2020 6:15 pm No idea about the particulars you're asking- however I do have words of encouragement. Absolutely worth persisting getting the info you need imo. So I'm just reading up on this ecosystem of lights. I'm planning on putting deck lights along the outside edge of a large deck. Will need about 3 packs (18 lights) plus… 0 23389 Which ceiling hook to use to hang Xmas lights under Eaves in 1st floor in 2 storey façade (no… 0 1459 I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says.
