I am not sure whether I need any special tool remove the handle without damaging it. The "slotted nut" seems to connected in 1 piece with the handle. If I were to unscrew with force, I may damage the slot and make it unremovable, and have to replace the whole tap with new. It seems there is an easy way to remove it, but I could not see the obvious ways. Appreciate some helps in this forum. Thanks. To get the screw loose enough to grasp with needle-nose pliers and pull free, use an awl or nail punch.
