Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Shower strip drain installation 7Jul 21, 2017 4:18 pm I my opinion that is going to be a real problem. I have troubles with the job my builder did on my linear drains and had to rip them out and start again. I ended up not terminating on the wall and had a small 100mm offset from the wall to allow a continuous join with the tiles. My reading of Australian Standard AS 3740 2010 Waterproofing of domestic wet areas is that the silicone needs to be at the join of the floor and wall tiles. You also need to see if the grate can be lifted as the drains can get smelly. Mine is not completely level and the water pools and if not cleaned every week gets green slime in it. I have some extracts from AS 3740 just need to work out how to embed a pic?? Make sure they have waterproofed under the drain, that was missing in mine and it leaked.
