Has anyone experienced issues with their Daikin ducted premium inverter on the heating cycle?
We recently had a Daikin FDYQ250L CV1/RZYQ10TY1 25kW Premium Inverter installed, with an AirTouch 4 controller and 11 zones.
Since installation, we have consistently had luke warm air coming from the vents on heating (well below 30 degrees). A quick burst of warm air just after the defrost cycle, but the temperature then starts to drop. The unit runs all day with a set temperature of 20 degrees and defrosts regularly. If we start with a sensor temperature of 15 degrees first thing in the morning (sensor reading downstairs), over 3 hours later the sensor reading reaches only 18 degrees.
We run the zones to the recommended maximum airflow of 1,400 (so usually half the house at a time) to ensure maximum performance.
The outdoor unit makes a really loud high pitch sound for several minutes throughout the defrost cycle, it initially sounds like a plane taking off.
Daikin have been out twice, and all the usual checks have been done - airflows are fine, refrigerant has been replaced, ducting and dampers checked. Daikin have advised the system is working correctly.
