If its on a slab, a split system is your only option. Re: FLAT ROOF = NO CENTRAL COOLING AND HEATING SYSTEM 3Apr 23, 2007 4:13 pm Just a thought
It'd look ugly, but if you're slab on ground - you could run ducts on the top of the roof, but the cost may be way over the top!!! and Ugly!!! But I suppose it depends on how and what you want to get the ducted the air too. I have a skillion roof on my top floor, which has an evoprative aircon that comes straight through the ceiling below it and I then duct it to the lower floor by closing the doors upstairs and making the air move where I need it via the windows downstairs etc. Not the most efficient option for heating - but some of it might work with minimal bit of internal ducting in the corners of some rooms? Is going split way too expensive or just not desired. SJ Re: FLAT ROOF = NO CENTRAL COOLING AND HEATING SYSTEM 5May 14, 2007 9:09 pm Its confirmed we are getting split systems..there will be 5 units in total and 3 compressors...we are on a slab so thats the only way....no doubt it would look hideous sticking out of the walls but we have to bear it since a flat roof is a must have!!! Hi, just need to ask if anyone build with Central Properties in Victoria. Thankd 0 4021 Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 8991 I would suggest you simply go and talk to council about your proposal, most councils are getting onboard with ancillary dwellings. There is no benefit in keeping it… 1 4106 |
