Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Apr 25, 2018 1:34 pm Hi All, The builder has quoted an upgrade cost of $3600 for Actron Air ESP+ SRV203 with 4 zones in lieu of the standard classic SRA203 with 2 zones for a double storey. Based on experience, is that a reasonable upgrade? how long will it take to recoup that $3.6K in electricity costs by saving money with the 4 zones, we live in the northwest region of Sydney and AC/Heating is limited to approximately 6 months a year and even during hot summers we get billed approx $600 for the quarter for a family of 6. How much does it cost to increase zones after handover? Thanks for your input. The saving is not only due to number of controllable zones but mainly due to the more efficient SRV203 as compared to SRA203. Very difficult to work out the payback period for the difference, however my research suggested that it was prudent to upgrade. Actron claims you could save upto $3500 over 5 years.
