Just wondering if anyone has used this reverse cycle air con system and what they thought of it ??? http://www.advantageair.com.au/go/resid ... ur-systems thanks Mike 2/3 of the way thru the build Re: Advantage Air - Has anyone got this system ???? 2Aug 20, 2008 7:42 pm MJAB,
I looked very closely at the advantage air system but ended up settling on a Livezi system. The main reason being that the advantage air system is older technology in terms of the actual air con units. This means that even if you only have a single zone running, the heating/cooling unit is still running at full speed and the excess air just does to a designated spill area. The Livezi unit only runs as hard and produces enough air to service the zones that you want to run, reducing the energy consumption considerably. We have gone for the advantage air system but as we have yet to get into our house I cannot tell you how good or not it is. I can however say why we chose this over other systems:- 1. Flexibility, being able to control multiple zones up to 32 I think although we have kept it to 8. 2. Cost, they worked out almost 2k less than system that M3tricon were pushing which only had 3 zones. If so what were the "special circumstances" under which it was granted?
