Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Apr 09, 2017 6:50 pm We are in the process of building. Hoping to start a general build thread soon but just have a quick question first related to heating/cooling. We are having fully ducted heating and cooling installed at our new house and I was wondering where the return air would be installed so I can factor it into plans. Here is our rough plan (we are hoping to get proper drawing back soon). I was thinking maybe at the end of the linen or between coat cupboards. My main worry is that if we install between cupboards and the door is closed to beds 1-4 will it still function ok or do installers sometimes use 2 returns in these situations? You can leave a 1" gap under bedroom door for air to return by without whistling out of every crack and crevice. Or install hideous door grilles.
