Hi,
We are about to order roller shutters for our upstairs windows (14 in total) and would value opinions.
In order of importance, we're investing in the shutters to 1. Cut External Noise - 2. Help Reduce Internal Heat - 3. Appearance
Our house is in Brisbane and is Paperbark coloured chamferboard (which won't change).
I really like the look of black shutters against the Paperbark but I'm a bit concerned that the black will somewhat defeat point 2 above (reduce heat).
The other option is black headbox and guides with Paperbark curtain (so basically a Paperbark coloured rectangle with black borders).
I'd value opinions regarding potential heat differential between the black and paperbark coloured shutters and also colour variations that might also look good.
Thanks...
