It is pretty much a matter of cutting a hole in the roof, putting the unit it, and sealing it up - which is much the same whether done at build time or later. The mrs is still voting for looks over thermal practicality so im looking towards sticking with the basalt roof over shale grey... Ive enquired if they do bradfords thermoseal(sarking) or air cell. At least it might be cheaper but prev they mentioned anticon was all they did roof insulation wise. I would have done it if it cost the 2.5k others usually pay for it. But 5.2k im probably better off betting on renting it out to tenants who dont care and even if i do move ib i probably wouldn't rack up 5k in extra air cond bills anyway. Could also look towards solar panels if moving in. I assumr they woulf such up alotta heat if you chuck them all over one side of the house... Out of curiousity what do you think the coste of post handover fitting the thermostat activated fan forced ventilators would cost to reduce ait cavity heat?? Cheers.
