Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Oct 01, 2015 4:25 pm It's coming to that time of year where we need air con! I don't know much about any unit but was looking at getting either reverse cycle or ducted. Maybe a silly question but as we already have ducted heating, is it still possible to get reverse cycle? which do you think is better? prices for both (9 vents)? Thanks. built the Dunedin 28 with Porter Davis. Re: Reverse Cycle Air Con 2Oct 01, 2015 4:56 pm Hello Standalone high wall split systems, ceiling cassette split systems, under ceiling console split systems, floor mounted console split systems as well as ducted systems are available in both cooling only or reverse cycle. Yes add on refrigerated cooling is certainly possible to add to your ducted heating though depending on the model of your ducted heater you may or may not need be replace your thermostat controller. You will certainly have to upgrade your duct work though if you hadn't had it specified for add on cooling. Comparison wise both have their pros and cons and it's up to the individual as to what they prefer. How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5943 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
