Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Oct 01, 2015 12:48 am We are wanting underfloor heating (electric under tile not in slab) to be installed in our new home but have been told by the builder that they don't do it because they have had problems in the past and can't guarantee the work. We have offered to sign a waiver to get past this and relieve them of their liability for any future problems but they still won't come to the party. We have asked if we can arrange tiling of the bathrooms after handover but apparently they can't get the house certified without the bathrooms being tiled. Anyone else had a similar problem? We are in WA and I didn't think that underfloor heating was anything unusual. Has anyone with underfloor/tile heating experienced any problems? I'd be careful with waiver as your supplier or manufacturer might not cover you if it's not installed correctly and builder doesn't care because you signed a waiver....
