The AC guys suggest a 12.5kw premium inverter Panasonic system. They insist its enough for the house but they suggested upgrading the ducts insulation to R1.5 and R1.2 to bendy ducts as they are more flexible given that I will choose a darker colorbond colour. I also have 31c ceilings throughout. Do you think this is gonna be enough? Also is R1.5 really not that flexible? However, if I recall correctly, the minimum power of the 12.5kW is the same as the minimum power of the 14kW unit, at 3.3kW, so you don't lose out in going to the bigger one. For a given power output, the larger one should also run slightly more efficiently. Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
