Hi All,
Split systems are usually installed on the outside wall "Back to Back" as it is the fastest install meaning also the cheapest.
Now I don't care for the cheapest install, I want best location for them to be most effective in doing their job firstly. Heating and Cooling. Then asthetics comes into play if the location is not an issue with their performance, I may as well hide them.
Now I have 3 bedrooms as seen below, top 2 have 2 windows each the bottom one has 1 window in a loft type configuration with both the LHS and RHS walls being raked inside the roof line.

I would think the location of the "Red" colour Splits to be the best, as you can open the door and let them lightly cool a bit of the non air conditioned space (The Retreat). The bad point is they look ugly when you walk into the room. It would be nicer to hang a painting or print on the wall directly opposite to entering the room.
The "Green" locations are not as obvious, however I would think that they would not heat 1mm past the room they are located in.
Are there any other options I should consider?
Your advice and thought appreciated.
Thanks
Andrew
