A quick look on the internet shows bad review after bad review. Has scared me off completely but would still like to hear how others have gone with it. I would prefer they did all the wiring and we supply our own unit. Re: Kelvinator Aircon, Bad Reviews, Experiences Please 2Feb 14, 2015 8:02 pm We have two Kelvinator split system inverter air cons. Only small units, 1.6kw I think. About 5 years now. Very happy with them. Re: Kelvinator Aircon, Bad Reviews, Experiences Please 3Feb 15, 2015 10:00 pm I installed a 6.8kW non inverter Kelvinator for my best mate about 9 years ago and the only gripe I had with it at the time was the noise of the indoor fan. It's never skipped a beat and was able to keep a 15sq house ~23 degrees average during a summer week of 44+ degree heat. He's moved out from there now and the only other issue he's had was the remote crapping itself. hth Re: Kelvinator Aircon, Bad Reviews, Experiences Please 4Feb 22, 2015 6:51 pm Kelvinators are a bit of a running joke around the HVAC industry. I'd go with either Daikin or Mitsubishi for splits, maybe Fujitsu if I couldn't get one of those two.
