Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 29, 2015 1:52 pm This may sound like a very stupid question for those in the know so ... I have a 8kw Daikin split system in the lounge with a bedroom in behind the wall where the 8kw head is in the lounge. My question is ... can I stick a 2kw head right behind the 8kw head on the same wall (but in the bedroom) and plumb it into the same wiring and pipes etc as the 8kw head? Cheers. Re: Split System Head question. 2Jan 29, 2015 10:14 pm Short answer is No. Principle wise it is possible but not in the way your expecting it to work. Seriously though the effort involved in something like this you're better off just getting a separate 2kW system for the bedroom. hth Re: Split System Head question. 3Feb 01, 2015 8:33 pm So your trying to convert a standard split into a multihead split? I also don't believe it will work. The electronics need to talk to the main unit and it won't be compatible because the boards are not set up that way. I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says. Thanks 2 9535 If you can calculate the reasonable charged head from let's say 100mm below the gutter to the top of where the vertical riser's horizontal discharge pipe will be, that… 11 17515 Move your linen into laundry and access laundry from your present linen space 1 7984 |
